Type C FIBC Conductive Bags are an electrically conductive bag (or groundable bag.) They are constructed from fabrics with interconnected conductive threads.
Product Description
Type C FIBC, also known as conductive FIBC or ground-able FIBC, are made from non-conductive polypropylene fabrics interwoven with conducting threads traditionally sewn in a grid pattern. These conducting threads must be electrically interconnected as well as connected to a designated ground/earth during filling and discharging. This connection to the ground/earth during filling and discharging is imperative to the safe use of Type C bags.
Type C bulk bags are completely customizable. Please contact us to find a unique solution for you, or to request pricing.
Dissipates Static Electricity
Prevents Brush Discharges when grounded
Prevents Sparks when grounded
Prevents propagating Brush Discharges
Safe for use in the presence of solvents, flammable powders, and combustible materials when grounded.
Less expensive than a Type D FIBC
Type C FIBC – which are also known as ground-able FIBC or conductive FIBC – were originally made from entirely conductive materials. Now, however, they use a conductive surface or network to conduct any growing static charge and move it from the bag to the ground.
These bags have several important characteristics, including:
1.Made of a non-conductive polypropylene fabric
2.Conductive threads are usually sewn in a grid pattern throughout the fabric
3.Conductive threads connect the bag to the ground through a grounding point
4.Threads are interconnected throughout the bulk bag by sewing several panels of fabric together. Get a qoute.

● Use for the safe transportation of powders with flammable qualities.
● Use for the safe storage of materials in settings where flammable gases or substances are near.
● Not to be used if the bag lacks a ground connection or if the connection gets damaged.
For the Type C bag to be used safely, it must be connected electrically and connected to its grounding point whenever fillings and discharges take place.

Type C FIBC technology has been around for a long time and has its positive and negative aspects. It is very safe when used correctly. However, if ungrounded, the bag can be a much greater explosion hazard than a standard polypropylene FIBC and should be used with great care.
There are some companies that refuse to use anything else other than Type C FIBCs in their sensitive processes. For that reason, this is the most common type of FIBC for use in flammable and combustible environments. There is, and always will be a large demand, for these types of packages. If you desire to learn more about using Type C FIBCs, please contact us and we would be happy to consult you on your specific situation. Our professional, experienced and courteous staff can answer just about any question you may have about any type of FIBCs.
